Having decided to form the original band just days before the pandemic broke at the start of 2020, guitarist and producer Reece Roughley and vocalist Georgina Inkster have fought to get their music heard from day one in an unrecognizable landscape that has been the music industry in 2020 and 2021.
The outside situation would not affect their productivity or belief though, using the last 18 months to develop their sound through constant livestreaming that reached tens of thousands of ears online, headlining the Bedford in Balham and completely self-producing three original EPs; Slim Blue I, II and III, all three EPs showcasing versatile guitar work and powerful vocals. This output is a testament to their ambitions in the industry.
Now, armed with a ferocious backline and full band line-up for the first time since their beginning, a ready and willing Slim Blue are set to take to stages across the country and show the UK what they’ve been preparing all this time.

Take a look over our journey
It's been a long journey since setting up the band at the start of 2020. Take a look back at the shots that capture the journey: our first shots in lockdown whilst recording our first demos, playing small local shows, headlining the Bedford in Balham, releasing our latest EP: SBIII, and our huge live session at Brooklyn Yard with the full band for the first time.

Since our formation in March 2020, we have written, recorded and produced three original EPs ourselves, Slim Blue I, II and III, due to the industry being shut down by the pandemic.
Slim Blue I
Our debut EP, made up of the songs we had going into the project, and the first songs we wrote together with Slim Blue in mind. Recorded whilst reacting first hand to the breaking of the pandemic.
Slim Blue II
Our second EP, recorded deep within a winter lockdown in the UK, this EP explores our more folky and acoustic side, and highlights our chemistry in crafting songs.
Slim Blue III
Our third and latest EP. This EP gave us our first opportunity to explore our louder and more electric influences, and is the first recorded work to feature regular live drums (as the lockdown had eased), a precursor for what's to come from the band.
